Rachel Dodgson qualified 34 years ago and has worked in private practice for the last 25 years. She has had the privilege of working alongside a team of world-leading experts in spinal medicine at The London Spine Clinic on Harley Street since 2012, where she is part of the multi-disciplinary team. Working with this team, Rachel has continued to develop her skills and knowledge in treating back pain, confidently stating that no back pain patient would faze her.

Rachel trained as a Pilates instructor in Toronto in 2000. She considers this one of the best additions to her repertoire in terms of rehabilitation, and she now uses these skills in rehabilitation Pilates to correct and eliminate pain.

In 2020, she established Freedom Physio in Chelmsford, Essex, with the vision of bringing Harley Street expertise to her hometown. She also runs a practice at The Phoenix Hospital, Chelmsford.

Rachel enjoys a challenge and particularly likes seeing patients who have had unsuccessful treatments with previous practitioners. She is adept at finding the source of the pain, which is often not where the pain is experienced. As Ida Rolf said, "Where you think it is, it ain't."

The best part of Rachel’s job is treating patients and being part of their journey to rehabilitate back pain and achieve a "Happy Back." As Martha Graham said, "Movement never lies."

At Freedom Physio, they treat all musculoskeletal pains and disorders, from head to toe.
